Arkansas RUNNER Plate

Post by LR_Greenie »

If your interested in getting a RUNNER license plate, please contact your local running club or go to Go! Running or Easy Runner. I have 56 signatures in hand currently. We need 300 signatures on our petition by the end of the week. Please get the word out however you can. If we get the plates, they will be $15 p/yr with $5 of that supporting the Ark RRCA.

If you need a petition emailed to you, email me at steven.preston@sbcglobal.net. All signatures have to be handwritten.

Anyone with signed petitions, please either get in touch to meet up or mail them to me at:

820 North St., Unit 8
Little Rock, AR 72201

Any petitions need to be back to me at the bend of this week or beginning of next week. Thanks!

I've got good and bad news about the RUNNER plate. The bad news first, we don't have enough signatures to be approved for the plate this year. Now on to the good news! We can use the signatures we already have toward sumbission for next year. So anyone who has already filled out a petition, THANKS!!!! We still need everyone (including clubs and running shops) to continue to let others now about this fantastic opportunity to show off to the world that you love to RUN and to support your local RRCA races. So let's start the push now for next Nov 1st. to get to that 300 mark. We are about a 1/3 of the way right now!

Here's a link to the petition (on google docs): http://preview.tinyurl.com/27ltc42

Here's a link to the logo that would be placed where the plate normally says "The Natural State" (on google docs): http://preview.tinyurl.com/26w3zuz

As always, the signatures need to be handwritten and can be handed to me or mailed to me (at address listed in previous post).[/url]

I'll volunteer to sign up Spa Pacers. I think 300 will be easy for you to collect by next year.

Thanks guys! I've had a hard time getting any back from the clubs. So far, I have received forms from LRRC and ARK. We can also get the word out at any local races too if there are any race directors out there reading this post :D

Sounds like this got approved but plates won't be available until 2012?

We are currently at just over 100 signatures. We need 300 to get approval for the plates.

Anyone who needs a copy of the signature form to bring to a club meeting or race, put in your club newsletter, or whatever can print out the signautre form that is linked on an older post on this thread.

I know we have at least 300 people in Arkansas that would want this plate, it's just getting the word out to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Easy Runner definitely has a sheet and I think Go! Running does as well.

Both Easy Runner and Go! Running have signature sheets. Since I live in LR those were the only ones to which I brought sheets. If your area running store does not have a sheet, anyone can print off a sheet from the linked doc I have on a previous post and bring a few copies into their local store. I greatly appreciate any and all support on this great and fun idea.

Can you take some of the sheets to some of the RRCA running events to be signed at the registration tables?

I will do...Sorry about not having them at the One Hour Track Run, but I didn't go and I failed to remember to try and get B-Ski to bring some for me. I will try to do better the rest of this season.
