Hill run

Post by nicole »

I went on my hill run (okay, so I have to walk half the time) today and thought about you guys... if anyone would like a hilly run, or is just in the mood for some torture, I've got the place for you. I live in Hidden Valley and the neighborhood next to mine, River Ridge, has some INTENSE hills. If you go down and back it's only about 2 miles but you won't want more than that, I promise. Go down Lyledale Road (off Highway 5) and it is on the right before you get to Lyle Park. I go from my house but you could park at Lyle Park or at the end of Volcanic. When you start off on the run, you will be on Volcanic, but keep going straight and it will turn into River Ridge. You will eventually come to a cul de sac, and I just turn around there and come back. It's a nice neighborhood (although not lit) and there are 3 or 4 big hills. Every time I have been, there wasn't much traffic either.

Have FUN! :D

Nicole, I live on Chitwood in Hidden Valley. Most of my short runs and a lot of my long runs are all arund the neighborhood. I have a 6 mile run thru Hidden Valley that I'll do 3 times for an 18 miler. That course takes me up the long Lyledale hill on miles 6, 12, and 18. :doh!: It's very challenging but great for hill training! See ya out there! :D
