If anyone has access to a megaphone and wouldn't mind letting me borrow it for the Women Can Run Clinic for 2 months...or know someone who might loan one out, please let me know asap!
As of today, we have 175 women signed up and we are kicking off our first training session tomorrow at 5:30pm at Gardner Jr. High. If any females are interested in leading a pack of women runners, please let me know. We still are looking for volunteers.
We are also asking for donations for door prizes. A $25 donation will get your name on the back of our shirt and a $50 donation will include the company logo as well, or something like that.
I witness a mazing thing today I wanted to help but I think I was more of a hendrance if anything WOMEN CAN RUN CLINIC IN THE RVR area. I have heard for many past years about it but never thought I would actually see one in full swing. what I first rememberd that it STARTED IN CONWAY then is spread like wild fire. GOOD JOB workers, runners, walkers. from ROOKIES to advanced and anything in between. I heard thru last week RVR meeting that men could help. so I thought I would try and be whatever. Coach, encourgement and supportive.and helpfull. but in the end and like I said before I think I was in the way.
I may not be fast, but I can run faster than Billy Mills to a buffet!
