Time Trial for the Go Mile today at Scott Field

Post by Brian S-ski »

Today is the LRRC's weekly speed workout session. We'll be start warmups at ~5:15 PM at Scott Field.

Today's workout includes one mile all out on the track to prepare for the upcoming Go! Mile road race.

Results of today's workout will be kept and compared to finish times at the Go! Mile in 3 weeks.

Prizes will be awarded to the best improvement, least improvement, least variance, etc.

But you got to come out tonight to get your track time recorded! Everyone is welcome.

Man, you guys ran fast. As a matter of fact, your fastest time was only 1 second behind what I ran as an 8th grader!

You guys aren't giving me too much time to get from the startline to the finish line to type in the gun time! Can you slow down a little? :bow

And even though your mental state may remain in the 8th grade - the question is what will your time be on June 18th?????

Running in this heat right now feels like you're carrying a sandbag.

You know the world is off kilter when Billy is worried about the Black Stallion, Sidewinder isn't even on the screen, and Torrey is running 7:25 miles. There may be something to this global warming thing after all

That was a 7:35 and I had to have a medic after I was done. No excuses but when only 7 out of 10 toes work it is hard to get any push-off. That said, it is the fastest I have run since last July.

Glad to have you back running again - even if it is with only 7 toes. Heck, I run with only 9 fingers so maybe we can create a digitally challenged division to go with Mills mentally challenged 8th grade division.
