By popular demand (well, not really, but I seem to be the speed-nazi by default) this week's speed session will be on the lovely banks of the Arkansas River, Dardanelle side - same location as year's past at 7 pm.
The sand should be nice and hot and the air sufficiently humid to make this a completely miserable and intolerable experience. If it goes as badly as predicted it may become the site of future runs the rest of the summer. Hey, what use is a good Arkansas heat/humidity wave if you can't make it even more memorable and insufferable.
An event sure to make you wish you (or at least me) were 35 years younger.

Report: It was as hot, humid, and as insufferable as predicted. Appearances were made only by myself - Sidewinder -MWitt and a young padawan with MWitt. Black Stallion thought the All-Star game was more importannt. Katelin listened to her dad who didn't understand Irish sarcasm and stayed away. Sidewinder did 1 mile, young padawan 1 mile, MWitt 2 miles. Only the truly strong (or stupid) did 4.
So, suggestions for next week?????

haha, I didn't read this thread until today and Ben and i had gone out there wed. night to walk around...I was thinking, "man it's been a long time since we've ran those suicide miles" Funny you guys had just been out there. And Kudos to Dmac on 4! I remember the first time I ran with Billy was out there and everybody was toasted after 3 and I said "whose up for 1 more?" And he was the only one who ran it with me :)
I hope heaven is measured in miles...
