Congrats to River Valley Men and AURA women

Well the RVR men had a team afterall! Who ran? I knew Hunnicutt and Bressette but who were the other mystery RVR runners? Congrats for a second overall finish!

AURA ladies also placed a strong second! Congrats AURA!

Only 2 more to go! Who is going all the way to Wynne? I'm holding onto 3rd in my age group so I'm doing the math. The final will be in Hot Springs at the Spa 10k. Many of us are staying in the Arlington to party.

Who will be there?

PS Did anybody else hear people's names called after them at the finish line yet their times were mysteriously faster? That was weird! Did some people play..."let's switch chips"? Just curious!

If it was a chip timed start and finish like it was the last time I ran SW it is entirely possible to finish ahead of someone and still have a slower time. Just depends on how far they were behind you at the start.

also, A very talented RVR offspring won 1st place in his age division this weekend at the Fall Fest 1k!
His mama looked like this

Funny thing: I told him he would get a trophy if he won, so when they were giving them out and presented him with a tall glass w/ writing on it...he came up to me and said "this isn't a trophy?" (he was quite disappointed haha)

Sidewinder......cups are for guys who DRINK too much beer! The kid has a point. It AIN'T a trophy. LOL
