Injured. Having surgery Monday per Clydesdale. Bummer. It seems the key to placing higher in races as you get older is staying healthy.

I'm hurting - but I'm learning. Since the CT Scan showed nothing and the dr. had no suggestions I decided to follow the Irish Recovery Method - when hurting - train harder. So I jumped mileage from mid 30's to mid 50's and ran the 10K of a career. However, I forgot to follow the Clydesdale Prohibition of not pushing a long run the day after a hard race and have been puny all week. So, in preparation for Sunday I will take tomorrow off and make the hour run the first half of my 20 miler for this week. I might even stash some cinnamon rolls on the course just to see if I can get a running partner.
