RVR Team Dead?

Post by Clydesdale »

If this is the last year for the RVR teams, where shall we end up next year? As for the Stallion and I, we'll transfer our flags to WAR, any other RVR members are definately welcome to join us! Hey Dsmack, after lookin at the last few race results, it seems there's a WAR runner named Don Edge at about the same level as us! A new member of the Force we could recruit for some possible SMACK talkin!

I was hoping you guys would hang on another year or so and I could re-join the team. I may be moving "home" soon. I will definitely be back in 2015. Of course my running has gone to pot but I am gonna try to make a comeback.

Out of curiosity why is the RVR team going to disperse? There seems to be plenty of active runners who keep saying they would like to get involved as well as other currently active members who will continue to help.

Where did this idea come from?

I for one HATE to see the team go Belly-Up! But I do understand what Steve's sayin about the work that goes into setting up and directing a meeting. Would LOVE to see the team remain and be more race oriented. I know not everyone that runs wants to race, but RVR has several different running cliques that in the past have not supported each other. I sure miss the days of the big RVR club meetings with home cooked food and goodies around the holidays! :ohyeah: In those days we'd have Steve and the trail runners telling us about their runs and asking us to join them. Sidewinder and I tryin to get everyone to come to more races. Vogler talkin Ultra's. And of course the Black Stallion talkin about how much gas he goes through going to ALL the runs and races! Not to mention him going BACK and BACK and BACK to pile up another food and desert plate!
