Well Joseph P.... looks like the boys from Rsvl are just too intimidated by this FINELY TUNED RUNNING MACHINE! that or their just to nice to hurt my feelings by kickin me while I'm down with the flu this weekend! Just so they won't have to feel bad, I'll extend the bettin opportunities to Dsmack for the 5k at Rsvl., and the Half Mar to Witt in a couple of weeks. I don't want them to feel as if they've taken advantage of me and all!!!

The way you guys were runnin yesterday I'd think you'd want to bet me your house! I averaged 7.30 per mile and never made up ground on ya. You guys even did your warm-up mile faster than my workout average, and you don't think you'll be ahead of me Sat??? I'm just hopin Kim Howard, aka Hoot, isn't in as good of shape as you, or it's gonna be a LONG awards assembly!!!

Amen to that! Dmac was like "i want to run 7 miles at about 8 min pace" So i mentally prepared myself for that, hopped out there and could barely hang on to their low 7's. Geeeeez, you guys must want me to stay away.
FYI: Im now training your competition. Picked up some Little Rock Grand Prix fresh meat who has potential to get points on you. Pretty soon, you know you're gonna stop listening to Billy and come test with me at Sigma.
At least they waited on you to start, I looked up and they were already a hundred yards or more down the trail, and at 8min pace or faster! Their DEFINATELY not listening to me about training! It's just a good thing none of them have achilles or sciatic problems!!!

I thought we were taking it easy. Especially compared to my normal Wednesday workout. I was too sore from Tuesday's workout to go too fast.....glad I am not racing Saturday.

Amy, I thought that was you yesterday! I can mentally prepare all I want but I just haven't been able to hang with those guys at their pace for a whole loop. I was within 10 yards until about 1.5 miles I guess then I lost sight of you all. I did my 2 loops ALONE and without any tunes cause I was hoping to hang with them this time. So much for that wish. I did do a fast crazy loop with Billy once and he talked me through it and it was like giving birth to twins. LOL......Hope you're training men and NOT women for Sigma.

My watch says we did the miles as follows: 8:12 - 7:54 - (then you bailed) 7:36 - 3:01 back to start - 7:26 - 7:41 - 7:34 - 3:08 back to start. Avg for the miles 7:44. "At about 8 min. per mile" Well, I wouldn't call that a huge difference. No one ask you to bail. If you think this run was bad come try a couple of Tues tempo 7 min per mile runs when Michael drops mile down to 6:25.

If you are training my competition I hope they race me more than once per year which is all I can get their coach to do.
.
Reading back over this thread is pretty funny. Has Billy already lost the bet? Can we just call it now after just 4 races? I know a couple of them would have been on both of our lists. His only hope this year would probably be the Chili Pepper......but still not likely.
