ATU "track" = if you want to call it that. River Valley Triathletes are now doing speed work on Tues. at 6 pm there. A new group trying to get organized and going. A decent number of people there of various speeds. Seth & Will were there so definitely someone who would push you.

You need to get back in race shape. I was in your back pocket and closing at Spa.

Also, lunch lady 5 & 10K at Clarksville this Sat.

Now Dsmack, you know it's easy to run short and fast on the track when I know I'm gonna get to stop after every interval! Keeping any kind of pace up for a 5 or 10k.... Now That's Another Story!!! :doh!: I'll be happy to get back where I can at least keep you in sight at the end of all the ints. this hanging on every other one is getting OLD!!! (Woops, Old Joke) Anyway, Sandbagger and I will be NO match for the much younger animals! I just hope we get some sort of time bonus!!! :ohyeah: Oh ya, almost forget. Sidewinder wants in on this little extravaganza! Tell you animals what... You can add the Mighty Sidewinder to your arsenal, now how's that for sportsmanship??? :cowbell:

Hey Michael, notice how they have now brought Sidewinder into the betting but are still ignoring the Nebo contingent of RVR? I like Clydesdale's favorite food as much as he does. And where is the black shetland? Awfully silent since he has been called upon to defend his smack.

Dmac I believe I figured out this dog and pony show. It is like the shetland talks about in the WWF and Rick Flair, JYD, and Skandar Ackbar. :-) All of these contenders will have to beat each other before they can step up and take on the bog dogs. :cowbell:

Oh WHATever...U guys never bet!
Betting is not an apathetic practice where u sit around waiting to be summoned. You have to aggressively seek out your victims and challenge them yourself...not passive-aggressively "hint" around that you aren't being included :violin: :violin: :violin:

Billy and I have contemplated a bet on who can lose the "baby belly" the fastest :D Or maybe we should see who can break 20 for 5k first...b/c i pretty much lost the belly when the kid popped out.

Glad to be back to the grind. Ready for my comeback!

Now here's a young lady with some GRIT! As an example to the before mentioned.... Bog Dogs, I whole heartedly accept this challenge from the young princess! We'll see if there are female Jedi in our world!!! :cowbell: And as I wait and wait and wait and wait for the Young Shetlands reply, I'm reading the latest Dieting for Dummies softback!!!!! SUB 20 or BUST!!!!! :pompom: :pompom: :pompom:

What has happened to the black shetland and pink kitty kat? Challenges have been made, lines drawn and all that comes to mind is an old Simon & Garfunkle song - "The Sound of Silence". :violin:

RLAG: As for Clydesdale, he was huffing and puffing behind me last night at speed work. So fitting into your jeans is a good sign, but it doesn't do a thing for stamina.

Meanwhile the Witt boys continue secret training in the dark of early fall evenings. Maybe they are running and maybe they aren't. I guess we will see.

Now come on Dsmack, you know the Witt boys are runnin.... I just wonder if it's anything other than their mouths??? And I'm surprised you knew how bad I was huffin and puffin I was so far behind ya. And by the way, were your ears burnin this mornin? As I got out of bed and took the first step almost fallin to the floor with soreness, your name did come up!!! Where's the TYLENOL???? :doh!:
OK RLASG, it's on! Pick the race you want to challenge this Old Gray Gluebag! Want a little motivation? I tipped the scales this mornin at 197!
Dsmack I almost forgot the Farm Animals, it sure has been quiet since Sandbagger and I sent the challenge to the Black Shetland and Pink Pussycat. We must be REAL DANGEROUS MEN!!!!

Hmmmm, I wonder if it has anything to do with the IMPOSSIBILITY of beating you too?

Well before I can reply I have to see what the heck someone has thrown me into. I've got 30 lbs on me since this race last year. I've just gotten slower and slower so I kinda think the bet might be a bit lopsided. I've seen Billy run and he ain't as fat and slow as he claims to be. Ya'll better be careful with ya bets with him. But I don't need to tell you guys about the GREAT PRETENDER do I?

Clydesdale wrote:Geeez, all this hot air on the message board has me hyperventilating! But it did make me think of even another wager for the Black Pony. How bout the Animals vs the Has Beens??? You know, Black and Pink against the Billy Brothers! Combined times, lowest time wins Pizza Inn buffet??? How bout it, you ANIMALS up to the challenge??????
OK, so I had to research deep into all this horse SHizz but I finally found the proposed wager. It could be a do-able challenge but if we win, WE DON"T WANT any Pizza Inn Buffet......we want new running shoes! Or a new watch! Or a new sticker for my car that says "I BEAT TWO FAT GUYS NAMED BILLY IN ONE TRAIL RACE"

That sounds like a good wager to me. Pizza buffett for the fat boys and a personal bumper sticker for you and the Stallion. Speaking of, has the cat gotton the Stallion's tougue on this one? Or does he fear our superior size advantage?

I do believe the Stallion is clueless to this challenge so I will CLUE him in later today.
