I'm missing 35 chips from runners that finished the 5k or 10k race. If you still have one of my chips, please put it in an envelope and send to:
Mac's Race Timing Service
169 W. Ross St.
Batesville, AR 72501
Thanks.

Wow, that's a bunch. I wonder if most of those are people who didn't cross the finish line.

31 crossed the finish line. That's what I can't believe, they had 11 chip cutters that you had to practically trip over to get out of the chute.

With as many racers as we had, I can see how they missed people. It was pretty crowded in the finish chute when I got done.

Yeah...BUT, the runner should have know to turn in the chip. You'd think that as they came across and noticed what was going on they'd turn in their chip.

True, but there were many first timers or novices in this race. I talked to a few. I reminded them to turn in their chips and they didn't know about it.

Thanks for doing that. This year I started putting the chips in envelopes with a stamped note on it saying to turn it in, and printed out 1500 flyers that the registration table passed out and made signs. Wish I knew what else to do. I'm just hoping I get most of the chips back. At Hogeye, I lost a lot of chips too.
Thanks for all the veteran runners help!

If you know who didn't, you could always post a list on here. If nothing else, someone may know one of them and put some pressure on them to return em. Works on the WRR forum.
Thought it was impossible

This morning after thinking about it (maybe should have thought about this yesterday before posting), I just knew it was impossible for that many people to sneak by the chip-removal-crew. So I went back into the trailer and pulled apart all the buckets they were using. I guess when they brought all the buckets over to the trailer, some got stacked on top of each other and some chips got buried in the bottom buckets. We'll at the bottom bucket were most of the missing chips. After it was all said and done, only 1 chip is missing. That's pretty dang good for the amount of runners coming through.
My hats off
to Cliff and his chip-removal-crew.
If I offended anyone, I apoligize.
Now all I need are the chips that are left in the pre-registered bags... (Thanks Kevin)

That's good news to hear - I have #1096, 9 & 1454 here in my hand. The rest of them should be in the packets that were not picked up. I'll get those tomorrow and drop them in a FedEx envelope for you.
Thanks again for your help this weekend.
