Race for Indianapolis

A new 5K will take place on Nov 5. It is the Race for Indiamapolis and it will be run in the Hindman Park/Golf Course area. Hindman Golf Course is located on 65th St off of University. The park is old school with mature trees and streams in the area. The majority of the course will be run on the golf cart paths. It is the hope of the organizers to have the city complete a running/bike path on the north side of the park.
The Meadowcliff, Brookwood Neighborhood Association is part of NUSA, Neighborhood USA. The is a national non-profit organization committed to building and strengthening neighborhood organizations. In 2010, Little Rock hosted the Annual Conference and introduced for the first time, Federal Partners and National Sponsors.
The 311 Service and Animal Village in Little Rock were brought back to our city as a result of our Little Rock NUSA Delegates seeking information from other cities across the United States.
The Meadowbrook/Brookwood Neighborhood Assoc, who has created and hosting the race, won 4th in the nation in the Neighborhood of the Year Award in the Physical Revitalization Category for their Hindman Park Project.
The purpose of the Nov 5th Race is to raise funds for the benefit of Team NUSA to send a large delegation from Little Rock to the 2012 Annual Conference in Indianapolis, IN.
