spa 10K

In an effort to put on the best race possible the Spa10K organizers are planning the following to combat the issue of 10K finishers being slowed by walkers from the 5K. All suggestions considered if anyone has any other ideas.
1) To help at the start, we are going to have a "walker" sign (sort of like a pace sign) being held by someone at the back of line and with annoucements encouraging walkers to go behind the walker sign to start. Since we have all 5K and 10K runners on Convention to will help them at the start, if we can get the walkers to the back.
2) At the finish when they hit Convention we are going to have signs being help by volunteers and calling "walkers to the left" and "runners to the right". We are going to try to do the same with people along Quapaw and Market but with no signs.
3) We are going to send an email to everyone registered online with "reminders" similar to what we just got from Soaring Wings, that will include about walkers info. We will also have a handout at Friday and Saturday registation.
