John has been diagnosed with Barrett's Esophogus which was caused by GERD or severe longterm acid reflux.
Here is a short (non-yucky) youtube video explaining the disease:

A video showing the disease is attached: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWiPnfWI ... r_embedded
As of Wednesday, John had another scope done because he has has newfound breathing problems while running and while at work.
The doctor found another hole in the lining of the esophagus right above the last hole that was operated on last Nov. 2010.
He is scheduled for another appointment next Wed. to determine a course of treatment.
Please keep John in your prayers as he is quite discouraged. He knows that we all think he was just panicking about a cough but in reality he knew that feeling as "junior in full return". Hopefully, he can get it under control again and be back in full running form soon.
Remember this caused John to give up running once and after the surgery he came back a 2011 Ironman who completed 2 marathons and placed 3rd in his age group last year.
Stallion we are cheering for you to have a speedy recovery!
