I haven't been on here in forever but here I am. I am writing to announce a new local race I'm directing and I'm calling for volunteers and hopefully folks who want to race as well. I need aid station workers, finish line workers and registration helpers as well as some great runners! 
It's associated with the 34th Ozark Memories Day Festival and all proceeds benefit the Dover Chamber of Commerce and their special projects and community needs.
Who: Race directors: Lisa Vorwerk and Michael Robbins
When: Sat. Sept. 29th at 8am registration starting by 630 am
Where: Race starting line will be at the intersection of North Elizabeth Street and Hwy 7 (Market Street). The course has a downhill start and is an out and back on a country road (all paved).
How: Online registration available through www.active.com and eventually at www.arkansasrunner.com Pre-registered $20/$25 and day of race $25/$30
What: Overall/Masters awards and age groups in typical 5 year age groups....no duplication of awards. T-shirts to first 80 runners and I'll order more if pre-registration shows a need for it.
Why: This is the first annual race associated with the 34th annual Ozark Memories Day Festival
Walkers welcome in 5k unless you can walk the 10k in about 1 1/2 hours or less because the Parade starts at 10 am and we want the race over by then. I know Bentley will surely be breaking 1 hour if he comes.
