Why are the posted results for the Chase Race different from those posted at the race and from how awards were given at the race?

I post preliminary results on the board. What happens is during the race there are sometimes things that need updated. I had folks that had swapped chips, some that did not provide their age prior to race that I updated during/after the race, and we had to add someone that did not wear their chip. All these have a snowball effect when you start adding, switching, and swapping. Prior to the race Michelle and I try our best to get the most accurate data in the laptops, but sometimes we have no control over what the runners do.
