Chile Pepper Cross Country 10k now on October 5

The race was originally set for October 12 but they had to make a date change. Fortunately there is not a conflict with another Grand Prix race so the Chile Pepper will remain on the schedule for this year with the new date.

I'm sorry for anyone who now has a schedule problem. I know this coincides with the Arkansas Traveler 100 and there are probably others that I don't know about yet. We just have to make do with the cards we are dealt. These are some of the factors they had to consider in making this change:

October 5 will guarantee first squad Arkansas Men and Women to participate
October 5 is not in direct conflict with 2 other meets nationally that draw top College and High School teams
October 5 is in "sync" with training schedule for Colleges leading up to Conference, NCAA.
Bonus; No Razorback Football game for traveling school teams and runners to get hotels reasonably
This change of date is projected to settle on this weekend for 2-3 years primarily to draw top college teams from around the country and stay in sync with conference and NCAA.
Sunlight bonus...30 minutes more daylight to work with!

Registration for the Chile Pepper will open in May.

This change is set for this year. However, I do want to hear feedback about the conflicts this causes for you and how it will affect you next year, etc.
