Made in the USA

Post by David Samuel »

I'm wondering if there are other runners besides myself that look to see where the t-shirt was made when you receive your race packet?

I have been doing that for over a year...not only on t-shirts but on almost everything I buy. A large percentage of stuff is made in China but I have noticed that our race shirts come from many different countries. On Saturday I checked the Toad Suck New Balance t-shirt and it was made in
BANGLADESH. When I got home and sat down to read the paper one of the headlines was "over 600 dead in Bangladesh factory fire". I wondered if one of them had made my t-shirt. The last t-shirt I recall made in the USA was the SPA 10K in November.

Would any of you like to see ARKANSAS race t-shirts made in the USA???

I would be willing to pay an extra buck or two to see that on my shirts tag!

Wouldn't it be something if all of the 2014 RRCA/Arkansas race t-shirts were made in the USA???

I absolutely agree and would vote with my pocketbook if given the choice.

On a tangent, I always appreciate when a race has the "No T-shirt Option" for a discounted fee.
