BILLY MILLS out of hiding/Pink Wins/The Legend spoils it all

Post by The Pink Panther »

Dover Shooting Club 5K (Sept. 25, 2010) during Ozark Memories Day

It was a great race between the following RVR members:

Tom Aspel aka Sidewinder
Lisa Vorwerk aka Pink Panther
Bill Ward aka Mills Lover
Billy Mills aka Clydesdale

Well between Ward and Pink, the starships have inter gallacticly battled and Pink has won! She blew apart Bill Ward's hopes of bringing his feet to a first place finish against her. But don't cry for Captain Kirk cause she kept it "merciful and quick"!

YES FOLKS....wait for it......wait.........the one and only BILLY MILLS raced with us. Pink heard huffing and puffing behind her so much she thought she was Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf was trying to blow her off the course!

Billy had warned Pink and Ward that he wouldn't let them pass him. When Aspel cautioned Billy that Pink was in pretty good shape and had gotten faster, Mills said, "she won't pass me....I'll put her ass in the ditch and I'll beat Ward up if he tries to beat me!" Well perhaps that was just in jest cause he was totally nice on this run! He coached Pink through most of it and must have just been wiped out in the end! LOL....

Bill Ward and Pink really challenged each other on this hilly crazily drawn out 5k. There were times when the racing positions changed hands. On the last hill at Hillcrest, which Pink was aware of but Ward had no clue, everyone heard a large grunt from Ward. He was starting to bog down in pain and just knew the finish had to be coming on. Pink and Ward battled it out in the last 10th of a mile in a sprint to the finish. In the end, Pink came from behind and beat him by about 6 seconds. Game over! Pancakes on!

Just listen to all the turns we had to make....From 1st Baptist Church go up Tree Street then left onto Hale Street and onto 164 East then right on Edwards Drive then right onto Terrace Drive then left onto Saratoga Drive then right onto Ridgeway Drive then slight left onto Ozarka St. then cross Hwy 7 into the River Town Bank parking lot then onto Peaceful Valley Road that turns into Elizabeth Street then circle the football field and United Methodist church and start to return via Elizabeth back to the bank and crossing Hwy 7 again then back up Ozarka St. then onto West Walker Drive and as we're nearing the finish another nice hill up Hillcrest Street onto Ruff Street and down tree street to the finish.

So you know Pink beat Ward but who did Ward beat and how did Aspel finish? Well here's the big news......WARD BEAT MILLS......PINK BEAT WARD AND MILLS........AND ASPEL BLEW THEM ALL AWAY.......Yes, Tom Aspel finished 3rd overall behind 2 high school speedsters! THE LEGEND HAS RETURNED!

So you have questions about Mills don't you??????? Was he faking? Did he really have some juice left? Did he know he couldn't catch Aspel? Hmmmmm......these are all good questions, so let's get him talking again! He'll give you a ton of excuses as to why WE burnt his ass but it's always nicer hearing the story from the master storyteller! LOL

Best I could figure out.....

RVR Scores......

Aspel 3rd overall male.......1st place his age 50-59
Pink 2nd overall female....1st place her age 40-49
Ward 5th overall male.......1st place his age 45-50
Mills 6th overall male........2nd place his age 45-50

First Place Overall Male was Carson Miller 20 min plus (Dover track star!)

I saw pics on fb, and if that wasn't enough to do it, I was able to verify, via a reliable source, that yes indeed Mills is pregnant.

I'm guessing we'll have a "Mini" Mills on our hands at some point in the future!!

Congrats Billy... :hat
