Grand Prix XXX -- Official Discussion
So excited about the one mile addition and very intrigued about the relay. Cool idea.
Any thoughts jump out looking at the new schedule?

Thoughts...only that I get more excited about this coming around every year than I do about New Year's Eve. I love the relay addition. I just love the Grand Prix. Having lived in so many different places and having been a runner in all of them, it cannot be overstated that this really is special. This simply doesn't exist at this level anywhere else. I've been part of Grand Prix-like organizations in other states and the farthest reaching it usually goes is within a county or a metro area. This level of quality and participation across the entire state is unique to Arkansas and I hope you are proud of it. I certainly am.

I agree, great logo... I'm looking forward to next year, hopefully I'll even run a few more races (talk less and run more... hummm interesting).MWitt wrote:Good looking logo and I like the new schedule. The relay will be a fun twist to things as well as the Go! Mile.
The Go! Mile should be very interesting...
However, I really like the relay idea... I think that will be a HUGE BLAST!!!
GREAT JOB GUYS... GREAT JOB!!!

After several problems and complaints over the last few years the DNR was only allowed into the 2010 GP series on a probationary status by the Long Distance Running Committee. None of the criteria the LDRC outlined was met by the race this year so it could not be included in the 2011 series. All of this is moot point however as they did not submit a 2011 bid.
Wiggidy wack? Nope-just regular type.

Yay! It will be good to have you back. After only doing 4 races this year, I am planning a GP comeback as well.jenny weatter wrote:Although I have not run one single Grand Prix race this year, I definitely plan to be back to racing them next year (at least the longer distance races) . I also absolutely love the logo.

how can someone not love the XXX Grand Prix....
i agree with everyone, schedule and logo both look fantastic. I am curious though, how will the Hogeye Relay be scored? And will it have to be all male and all female teams i guess? Either way, GREAT idea...just curious how it will work.

don't you get between me and my BACON!!
I'm already claiming Leah, Radke and B-Ski as my relay team. With that line-up, how could I mess it up?LT wrote: I am curious though, how will the Hogeye Relay be scored? And will it have to be all male and all female teams i guess? Either way, GREAT idea...just curious how it will work.
