Al Becken Volunteer Of The Year

Al Becken was the RRCA Southern Region Director and helped organize the Arkansas chapter of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) in 1988. The RRCA state organization never would have gotten off the ground without his support.

Al was the 2011 recipient of the Browning Ross Spirit of the RRCA Award that honors an unsung hero and a person that champions the RRCA along with their local club or event “tirelessly and with enthusiasm.”

Al was also the first State Rep to receive the RRCA Outstanding State Representative of the Year in 1984 and the award has since be named in his honor.
