Bob at the ARK 5K Classic

Hey y'all I'm posting to ask if you might be able to help me with Bob this weekend at the ARK 5K Classic. Bob's walking it! Well, he's registered. I think he'll walk it. He groused about not being registered at the Go! Mile, so I'm going to give it a try. Carol Young is going to hang tight with him ...

Rock Run 8K . . . favor?

Hey y'all. You might know my husband Bob Hayes as the guy who holds my stuff or from his playing guitar on the deck at Cajun's. He's walked in a lot of races, and went with me to every Grand Prix race in 2009, the year I was iron. So. Bob has Alzheimer's. We've known for sure for about 2 years. It's...

80th birthday party at the Capitol City Classic 10K

If you train with the LR Marathon group or run some of our other local races, you probably know Jack Mayberry. He's 79, deaf, very outgoing. April 6th, is Jack's 80th birthday. He's planning to run the Capitol City Classic 10K. Several friends are planning to run it with him, at his pace. We're hopi...

First class event! I saw an actual bluebird on my warmup, got smoked by an 8-year-old girl, made Belanger sprint, and won Oldest Female in Captivity.

Hard to beat that.

C'mon, you're a married guy.

If you think your wife doesn't know your internet habits, you're dreaming!

Just don't spill the beans when you see him at the store today ~

MacArthur Park 5K...shhhh...a surprise birthday party

Friday, May 6th is my husband Bob's 74th birthday and we're running the MacArthur Park 5K. If you know Bob, you're invited to his birthday party. You're invited to his party even if you DON'T know Bob. I'm not planning a Big Whoop, but I hope it will definitely be a SURPRISE. Cake & party favors...

So, what's the latest-greatest on the Chilly River Trail 15K Cookoff?

I've got a chili cook, but I need to get him fired up.

Hospitality House open by 8. Bring a crockpot of chili. What else?

I need more inspiration for the cook. He's kinda eyes-on-tv, okay-honey at this point.

About segregating the women and men on Valentine's Day . . . nothing like a healthy little distance to kindle some romance. My thought: men who meet their women at the finish line with flowers or chocolate are probably going to win the VDay 5K even if they finish last! RVR, a chocolate & flower ...

I LIKE it!

I'm running long and slow, slow, slow, but running in a women's is irresistible!

There should be special dispensation for PT to run in both races if he dresses appropriately.

www.runningskirts.com comes highly recommended.

Talk about TOUGH! You guys are amazing!! LRRC and other RRCA were out in full force working the aid stations ~ seeing the 100-milers come through is a phenomenon no runner should miss. It's an endurance event unlike any other in Arkansas. If you've never worked the AT100, you owe it to yourself (and...
